Product Overview. The Diode Dynamics 3157 LED Bulb XP80 LED – Red Set is designed to upgrade the rear turn and tail lights on your Mustang, delivering a modern LED appearance with instant on/off illumination that enhances visibility and safety by alerting other drivers more promptly.
Construction and Appearance. These LED bulbs feature sixteen high-power 5W LEDs arranged omni-directionally to provide bright, uniform light output. A metal heatsink ensures effective thermal management. The bulbs include robust constant-current inductive circuitry with built-in transient suppression to guarantee long-term reliability. They emit SAE/DOT-compliant red light suitable for Mustang tail light applications.
Installation. Installation is simple with plug-and-play OEM-size connectors requiring no modifications or drilling. When converting from incandescent to LED bulbs, installing LED resistors or an LED-compatible flasher is necessary to prevent hyperflashing caused by the lower power draw of LEDs.
