Time to Relocate. If you’re planning to use the Maximum Motorsports K-Member, then relocating the stock oil filter location is necessary as it gets in the way. Luckily, Maximum Motorsports has created a Severe Duty Oil Filter Relocation Kit that relocates the oil filter to right behind the front bumper, effectively moving it out of the way. This also allows for a larger oil filter to be used.
More Oil Capacity. Considering the engine needs oil and lubrication to keep running, being able to pump more oil through it can be a good thing. With the Severe Duty Oil Relocation kit, the larger filter can hold more oil and is easier to change in the location, which also means less of a mess. The adaptor plate and other components are made from billet aluminum, so no need to worry about them holding up to the elements.
Warranty Information. Maximum Motorsports does not include a warranty with their products.
Moderate Installation. The Maximum Motorsports Severe Duty Oil Relocation kit can be installed in about two hours with hand tools.
Application. The Maximum Motorsports Severe Duty Oil Relocation kit fits all 2003-2004 Ford Mustang Cobra models.
