Keep the Engine at Peak Performance. Attain power gain in every engine stroke with this MSD Ignition/Timing Control. This ignition box allows you to adjust the timing of your spark to maintain optimal and powerful spark for efficient engine performance. Moreover, this particular unit is engineered to be compatible with HEMIs retro-fitted with a carburetor.
Programmable Features. Through the included Pro-Data software which can be accessed through a PC or an optional hand-held programmer, the control box provides a number of programmable features. The first is the RPM Table which allows you to plot a timing curve to gain consistent performance from idle to acceleration. The next is the Map Table or manifold absolute pressure. This feature lets you plot an advanced curve based on the manifold vacuum.
Direct Installation. This device lets you connect to the coils, crank, cam, and map sensors to gain accurate inputs. As for the physical installation, the unit can be mounted within the engine bay or on the firewall. Make sure that you avoid mounting the box near the exhaust to prevent extreme heat from affecting the performance. Also, be aware that you may need to do some drilling to secure this unit properly.
Application. This MSD Ignition/Timing Control is made to fit all 2006-2008 5.7L Dodge Charger models.
Technical Note. Keep in mind that solid core spark plug wires or non-resistor spark plugs are not compatible with this MSD Ignition Control.
