OVERVIEW

The Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser Strakes combine function, form, and science to deliver unparalleled fit, performance, and style to your GT-R

The R35 Nissan GT-R already comes with a great diffuser from the factory, but it is far from optimized. We set out to improve downforce production by adding vertical fences, called strakes. 

Utilizing state-of-the-art analysis software during the R&D process, we were able to extract more performance for the given build volume; increasing downforce generated and drag reduced from the addition of the rear diffuser strakes.

These rear diffuser strakes were designed for owners looking for function and form; specifically with an aggressive strake design to really make the rear-end stand out.

Science:

The Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser Strakes increase downforce with no increase in drag on the GTR. The vehicle’s aerodynamic efficiency is increased with the strakes over the stock setup. The strakes were designed to help block the horseshoe vortices which form on the rear wheels from disrupting the fluid flow out of the diffuser. The strakes also improve the efficiency of the rear diffuser through controlling the volume of fluid flow out of the diffuser and increasing important vortices to promote attache diffuser flow.

Adding the Verus Engineering Diffuser Strakes maximizes the efficiency of the factory diffuser on the R35 GTR.
