It provides dual braking modes to accommodate various road and terrain conditions, enhancing safety and driving confidence. This brake controller is essential for anyone towing trailers with electric or electric/hydraulic brakes, offering both everyday proportional braking and manual off-road options.
CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. The unit features a compact, dash-mounted control knob with a low-profile design and shock-absorbing elastomers for durability and safe placement even in crash impact zones. The main unit houses advanced electronics including a three-axis accelerometer within a rugged enclosure tested for temperatures ranging from -4°C to 140°C, ensuring reliable performance in harsh environments.
INSTALLATION. Installation of the Tow-Pro Elite is straightforward, utilizing active calibration technology that monitors vehicle direction of travel for accurate setup. The system mounts behind the dash and includes a universal wiring harness and switch insert for seamless integration. Some adaptation may be required depending on vehicle configuration.
