The CAD-driven, CFD modeled rotor molded plastic air intake used in this Whipple high-velocity air intake system maximizes air speed while lowering inlet constraints.
Unusually Large Pleat Style. The cleanable filter with the velocity stack is part of the air system, which can flow approximately 132% more air than a standard paper filter, thanks to the unusually large pleats on each filter. Moreover, power-robbing heat is kept out of the intake track by the powder-coated heat barrier.
Desirable Improvements. Increased horsepower and torque, improved throttle response, and a distinctive induction noise are the ends and desirable consequences. Moreover, the upgrade is easy to do without using any special tools. No need to cut or grind anything.
